The work has a family name.

Three generations

Not a founding myth. A line of work.

White Cotton is the newest chapter in a family textile story. The name changed. The knowledge stayed in the room.

  1. 1990s

    The first workshop

The family learns the work where it matters: at the machine, the cutting table and the final inspection.

  2. 2006

    A second company

The next generation turns inherited skill into a more complete production operation in Barcelos.

  3. 2024

    White Cotton

A new identity for the same family craft, built to work directly with brands across borders.

Real people, real production

The same voices follow the garment.

The conversation does not disappear into a chain of agents. Development, sourcing and production stay close enough to question one another before a small problem becomes a finished order.

“The product should carry the care of the people who made it— without needing a story invented after the fact.”

How we work

01

Know the work

The people discussing your garment understand how it will be cut, sewn, finished and checked.

02

Say what is possible

A clear no is more useful than a promise the production floor cannot keep.

03

Keep decisions close

Direct communication keeps fabric, fit and finishing choices connected to the people making them.

The names behind the decisions

A small team makes ownership easy to see.

Specialists across commercial work, sourcing, embroidery, sewing, finishing, quality control and packing stay connected around the same production floor.

Where is White Cotton's factory located?

White Cotton's factory is located at Rua Industrial do Corujo 10, 4750-784 Lijó, Barcelos, Portugal. It is approximately 40 minutes by car from Porto airport. Factory visits are available for production clients by appointment.

What types of garments does White Cotton manufacture?

We manufacture hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts, polo shirts, shirts, jackets, outerwear, pants, and shorts. Garments are manufactured under your brand through private-label or white-label routes.

Is White Cotton a family-run business?

Yes. White Cotton is a third-generation family textile business from Barcelos: the grandfather's firm in the 1990s, the family's second company in 2006, and White Cotton, relaunched in 2024 by the son and brother who run it today.

What certifications does White Cotton hold?

White Cotton sources OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GOTS organic cotton and Better Cotton options through partner mills when a project requires them. The relevant material documentation is confirmed for the specific project before production.

What is White Cotton's minimum order quantity?

Minimums depend on garment category, colourways and material. Light garments begin at 100 pieces in one colour or 75 per colour with two or more colourways. Heavy garments begin at 75 pieces in one colour or 50 per colour with two or more colourways. Specialty mill materials can require more.
