Corduroy

Definition

A ridged fabric with vertical wales (cords) formed by extra filling yarns that are cut to create a soft pile. Wales are measured per inch — pinwale (16-21 wales) for shirts, standard wale (8-14) for trousers, and wide wale (3-6) for outerwear. Corduroy typically ranges from 200-350 gsm and adds texture and warmth to autumn/winter collections.
