MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)

Definition

The smallest number of units a manufacturer will produce per style, colour, or size. MOQs exist because of setup costs — pattern making, marker making, fabric minimums, and machine calibration have fixed costs that must be distributed across units to maintain viable pricing. White Cotton's MOQs start from 200 units per style/colour, which is among the most accessible in European manufacturing.
