OEKO-TEX

Definition

An independent testing and certification system for textiles, ensuring products are free from harmful substances at every stage of production. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is the most common certification — it tests for over 100 substances including formaldehyde, heavy metals, pesticides, and allergenic dyes. OEKO-TEX certification gives brands and consumers confidence that a garment is safe for direct skin contact, including for babies and children.
