Oxford Cloth
Definition
A basketweave fabric where two warp yarns are woven together with two weft yarns, creating a slightly rough, textured surface. Heavier and more casual than poplin (140-200 gsm), oxford cloth is the go-to fabric for button-down shirts and smart-casual wear. The weave structure makes it highly durable and resistant to tearing while remaining breathable.
