What a tech pack maker should actually produce
A tech pack is the document a factory cuts, sews and prices from. If any of these pages is missing or vague, the factory guesses — and the sample is wrong. Every pack made here carries all of them.
- Technical flats, front and back, in your colourways
- Points of measure with a graded XS–3XL run and tolerances
- Fabric specification: cloth, weight, composition, wash or finish

Against the three usual ways of getting a tech pack
Drawing it in illustration software
Hours per style, and the drawing is the easy half — the measurements, grading and tolerances are what a factory reads, and they have to come from a real block.
Filling a template
The blank fields are the hard part. A template gives you the headings; it cannot give you a graded size run or a fabric weight that exists.
Paying a freelancer
Days of turnaround and a fee per style, per revision. Fine once; expensive every season, for every colourway.
The maker starts from a finished, factory-real document and lets you change only what is different — so a second style, a second colourway or the same artwork on another garment is a copy, not a rebuild.

The pack speaks the industry's language: flats, points of measure, graded sizes with tolerances, dye references, placements in centimetres. It also carries a sampling plan that saves you real money: the fit proved on one sample garment, your colours proved on dyed swatches in days, your designs seen live on fabric pieces — so you compare three shades and three logos for what one sample garment per idea would have cost, then approve a pre-production sample in your final colour before bulk.

Is this an AI tech pack generator?
No text is generated. The maker starts every garment from a real factory's pattern blocks and grading — the measurements, tolerances, seams and trims a factory already cuts from — and you decide the colour, cloth, fit, artwork and details on the garment itself. The document is drawn from those decisions, so nothing in it is invented.
Do I have to produce with White Cotton to use it?
No. The tech pack is a standard garment specification in the industry's own language — flats, points of measure, graded sizes with tolerances, fabric and trim specs, artwork placements with measurements, and production notes. Any custom factory can quote and sample from it. Many brands use it for their own factory.
What comes out at the end?
A 16-page editable vector PDF: cover, technical flats front and back, colourways with dye references, points of measure and the graded size run, fabric and trim specifications, artwork placement pages with sizes and positions in centimetres, and production notes including a sampling plan.
Which garments can I make a tech pack for?
13 garments today — hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts, long sleeves, polos, tank tops, zip hoodies, half-zips, cropped sweatshirts, shirts, sweatpants and shorts. Each starts from its own factory block.
Can I use my own measurements?
Yes. The maker opens with a factory block's graded measurements so nothing is empty, and every number is editable: type your value at the base size, keep or change the grading step, and the whole XS–3XL run regrades in front of you. A visual guide shows how to measure a garment you already own.
How is a custom garment sampled from this tech pack?
The way custom factories do it: one sample garment for fit and construction, cut in a colour the chosen fabric is already available in; your final colour approved as a dyed fabric swatch (a lab dip) rather than by making a whole garment in it; artwork tested as strike-offs on fabric pieces; then a pre-production sample in the final colour before bulk. The maker writes this plan into the pack, and you can choose a full sample in the final colour instead.
Can I change the pack after I download it?
Yes. The document is an editable vector PDF, and the maker keeps your pack so you can adjust a decision and regenerate. A second design of the same garment, or the same artwork on a different garment, starts from a copy rather than from scratch.
