Plastisol Ink

Definition

A PVC-based screen printing ink that sits on top of the fabric surface rather than being absorbed into it. Plastisol is the most widely used screen printing ink due to its opacity, colour vibrancy, ease of use, and ability to print on any fabric colour. The ink cures at 160°C and produces a slightly raised, rubbery hand feel. For a softer finish, brands increasingly request water-based or discharge alternatives.
