MANUFACTURING INSIDER SERIES
Most tech packs that land on our cutting table are missing the same three things. Every time. This book closes that gap — from flat sketch to cutting table.

Most tech packs that land on White Cotton's cutting table are missing the same three things, every time. The Tech Pack, Page by Page closes that gap — the complete path from flat sketch to cutting table.
Its chapters cover what a tech pack actually is (the seven sections every complete one contains, and the real cost of a bad one — €300–500 in wasted sample iterations), garment anatomy and factory terminology, measurements and grading across S–XXL with tolerance specifications, fabric specification down to GSM and Pantone TCX lab dips, and construction detail including six seam types with ISO 4916 stitch codes.
As the book's own line puts it: "a €200 investment in getting your tech pack right saves €300–500 in sample iterations and 30+ days in development time." 47 pages of factory-tested specification knowledge.
“A complete tech pack quoted and sampled in 17 days, start to finish, from our own production data. Real 2026 sample invoices ran €130–190 — an avoidable re-round buys another.”

Table of contents
A production manager has ten minutes to extract everything needed to source fabric, cut pattern pieces, and schedule the line. Miss a section and they email you — or they guess.
You can't specify what you can't name — describe 'the ribbed part at the bottom of the sleeve' and the factory has to resolve the ambiguity on its own.
A size chart specifies finished garment measurements, not body measurements — the gap between the two is called ease.
'I want a nice cotton' is not a fabric specification. Weight, composition, construction, shrinkage and color — miss one and the factory is guessing.
Two identical-looking hoodies. One falls apart after five washes, one lasts five years. The difference is in the seams.
The €0.30 label is the first thing a customer touches inside the garment — and a legal requirement under EU Regulation 1007/2011.
'Center chest, big' is not a placement specification. '18cm wide, 8cm below HPS, centered on body width' is.
The dozen most expensive tech pack errors, by root cause — from missing tolerances to no sealed sample.
You've read the theory. Here's the nine-step build, zero to production-ready.
Sending the pack isn't the finish line — it's the starting gun. A dated, real sample round from our own order log.
Six fill-in drawing sheets, the same structure our studio outputs and our cutting table receives — reproduced as a template.
